01Who we are

This policy covers modlocreator.app and the Modlo Creator software. If you have a question about it, email support@modlocreator.app.

02This website

• No cookies, no analytics, no trackers. We do not set cookies or use analytics or advertising tools.
• Hosting. The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
• Fonts are served from this site, not from a third party.
• Videos. Video previews load their thumbnail images from YouTube. The YouTube player itself (from youtube-nocookie.com) only loads after you press play. Once it does, Google's privacy policy applies to that video.

03When you buy

Purchases are handled by Polar, our merchant of record. Polar collects what it needs to take payment and meet tax rules, such as your name, email address, billing country and payment details, under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email address, country, what you bought and your licence key. We never see your card details.

We use this to deliver your licence, provide support, handle refunds and keep the records the law requires.

04The Modlo Creator software

• Licence checks. When you activate, and every few hours while the app is open, it sends your licence key and an anonymous identifier for your computer to Polar's licensing service over an encrypted connection. This checks the key is valid and counts it against your 2 computers. Like any internet request, it reveals your IP address to Polar.
• The computer identifier is made by scrambling (hashing) your Windows installation ID. It cannot be turned back into the original and says nothing about you or your files.
• No telemetry. The app collects no usage statistics, crash reports or analytics.
• Your files stay yours. Your projects, exports and game files never leave your computer unless you send them somewhere yourself.

05When you email us

If you email us, we keep the message and your email address so we can reply and help with any follow-up. We do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask.

06Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the services that run Modlo Creator (Polar for payments and licences, Cloudflare for hosting, and our email provider), or when the law requires it. Some of these services store data in other countries, including the United States and the European Union.

07How long we keep it

We keep purchase records for as long as tax and accounting rules require, and support emails for as long as they are useful for helping you. After that we delete them.

08Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we don't need to keep it by law. Email support@modlocreator.app and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the privacy or data protection regulator where you live.

09Security

The website and the licence checks use encrypted connections, and we keep the information we hold to a minimum. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we have.

10Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes we will let customers know by email.
